In an intense, defensive showdown, DR Congo-based club Chaux Sports asserted their dominance over Equatorial Guinea champions King Africa with a commanding 90-64 victory, closing out their Road to BAL qualifiers with an unbeaten 4-0 record. Both teams entered the game with determined defensive strategies, but Chaux Sports’ resilience and offensive balance set them apart.
King Africa’s standout, Siekou Vincent, poured in 20 points, demonstrating his scoring ability as he manoeuvred through Chaux Sports’ defences and kept his team within striking distance. Yet, despite his best efforts, King Africa struggled to break Chaux’s solid defensive front and capitalise on key opportunities, especially as Chaux intensified pressure in the paint and stifled second-chance points.
On the other end, Chaux Sports leveraged a well-rounded approach, with Etienne Tametong and Elande leading the charge. Elande’s 18 points combined with Tametong’s 16 created a powerful one-two punch, allowing Chaux to control the pace in the second half. Their teamwork and scoring consistency effectively wore down King Africa’s defence, ultimately stretching Chaux’s lead to an insurmountable margin.
This victory capped an undefeated qualifier run for Chaux Sports and underscored their balanced gameplay and depth. With seamless transitions from defence to offence and standout performances from Tametong and Elande, Chaux Sports have set themselves up as a tough club to beat throughout their first four Road to BAL games. King Africa, though defeated, showcased resilience and potential, making the game a spirited clash from start to finish.
