Morocco

A course for referees

Referees attending the training course ahead of the national championships in Morocco

Over the weekend, the Royal Moroccan Basketball Federation held a training course for referees and clubs at the Molay Rashid Institute in Salah. Several key figures, such as Mustafa Orash, chairman of the Federation, General Secretary Amjad Teboush, and Abdul Khaliq Al-Tammediti, chairman of the Referee Committee, attended the event. In his speech, the chairman Orash praised Moroccan referees for performing in international tournaments and stressed the need for continuous improvement and cooperation between referees, clubs, and the federation.

Pro A: Club Africain and JS Kairouan lead table

Club Africain made small case of BC Mahdia

Two clubs share the lead in the Pro A standings. Club Africain and JS Kairouan have taken command of the league with 4 points each. On Matchday 3, JS Kairouan easily beat ES Radès 118-62. Elsewhere, Club Africain did very well with an easy win over BC Mahdia (99-48). Other winners on the third day were DS Grombalia against JS Manazeh (71-66), US Monastir against ES Goulette (71-63) and ES Sahel at the expense of US Ansar (67-59). Reigning champions US Monastir are currently fifth in the standings ahead of the next matchday.

40 table officials appointed

40 table officials have been appointed by the Tunisian Basketball Federation

Basketball is not just about the players. It is also about officials. The Tunisian Federation has announced that 40 table referees have been appointed for the 2024-2028 year. These 40 officials are certified by FIBA and will be called upon to officiate at local and international competitions held by the Tunisian Federation.
