Game Review: FUS RABAT vs STADE MALIENE

Zouzoua's Offensive Masterclass Hands FUS Rabat Maiden Victory In 2025 BAL

In a crucial third game at the Kalahari Conference after two defeats, FUS Rabat finally delivered the spark their home fans have been waiting for. Yearning for redemption, they took to the court against Stade Malien with one goal in mind, getting a win. What followed was a stunning performance that proved FUS Rabat wasn’t ready to bow out just yet.

From the start, FUS came out firing. A barrage of three-point plays by Nisre Zouzoua and Nouhi set the tone, pushing them to a dominant 29-12 lead in the first quarter. John Jordan’s speed, Baeri’s tenacity, and Zouita’s veteran presence rounded out a flawless opening act.

But Stade Malien wasn’t going to go down quietly. Fueled by desperation, they clawed their way back into the contest with a 29-point second quarter, closing the gap to 45-41 at halftime. The intensity skyrocketed in the third, with both teams trading buckets in a fierce back-and-forth. Zouzoua once again rose to the occasion, putting on an offensive clinic that gave FUS some breathing room.

This is the message we wanted to send in the first game. We really want to reward all the efforts by our fans to be here and we honored it with a victory today

Ayoub Nouhi voiced out

Mouhamed Doumbya led the charge for Stade Malien with an outstanding performance, putting up 15 points in a valiant effort against the Moroccan side. His energy on both ends of the floor sparked crucial runs and gave his team a fighting chance throughout the game.

Doumbya, Allaye Togo, Cartier Ducati Diarra, and Mahamane Coulibaly each reached double figures, showcasing the depth of Stade Malien’s offensive arsenal. Their combined efforts ignited key moments that kept the pressure on FUS Rabat, especially during their impressive second-quarter comeback.

Despite the offensive bursts, Stade Malien’s poor shooting percentage proved to be their undoing. Missed opportunities from the field stalled their momentum, allowing FUS Rabat to regain control and eventually pull away. The loss underscores the importance of efficiency.

As the game reached its final stretch, the home team’s resolve proved too strong. Zouzoua finished with 22 points while Nouhi added 19, sealing a crucial 92-72 win. FUS Rabat’s statement victory not only kept their playoff hopes in the Kalahari Conference bit was a way to reward the effort of the cheering crowd.
