Dive into WINGSPAN's Exclusive Scouting Report from the U16 FIBA Africa Regional Youth Camp 2024:

Number 1

  • Akech Ajak Aguer: 6'10" | F/C | South Sudan
  • NBA Draft Eligibility: 2028
  • Scouting Report: Currently a bit light in build, but his passion on both ends of the court was outstanding. Defensively, he protected the rim, rebounded well, and blocked shots, showing great ability to cover ground in the paint. Offensively, he was always near the ball, using his length effectively to finish at the rim. Despite his lighter frame, he was always ready, whether it was for a strong finish, a dunk, or a quick shot around the basket. His energy and positioning stood out throughout.

Number 2

  • Ibrahim Danny Ferry: 6'7" | SF | Gabon
  • NBA Draft Eligibility: 2028
  • Scouting Report: A combo forward who appears more like a small forward, he was one of the best shooters at the camp, displaying great comfort from beyond the arc. While he doesn't frequently drive to the basket, he is athletic and excels as a slasher. Due to his athleticism and wingspan, his versatility suggests he could play multiple positions. He was one of the camp's smartest players and an intriguing prospect. Primarily a small forward, he has the ability to play inside positions but is more naturally suited to a wing role player.

Number 3

  • Bechir Briant: 6'8" | F/C | Cameroon
  • NBA Draft Eligibility: 2028
  • Scouting Report: Throughout the camp, the shooting forward stood out. He has a high release point on his shot, a strong wrist, and showed comfort hitting mid-range shots, making several with ease. His overall attitude was impressive—fighting for rebounds, running the floor, and displaying a clear passion for the game. He was vocal, both on and off the court, actively supporting his teammates. His combination of size, athletic ability, and shooting touch suggests real potential. There's definitely something special about this player.

Number 4

  • Gloir Mwanba: 6'5" | Wing | Democratic Republic of the Congo
  • NBA Draft Eligibility: 2028
  • Scouting Report: A rare wing who can make an impact without needing the ball in his hands—an invaluable skill. He showed a good ability to read opportunities to drive to the basket and score efficiently with just a few dribbles. While he still needs to improve his mid-range and long-range shooting, his overall attitude is impressive. Defensively, he gave maximum effort, using his size and athleticism to his advantage.

Number 5

  • Ben Olingou: 6'10" | C | Congo
  • NBA Draft Eligibility: 2028
  • Scouting Report: A 6'10" big man, still quite raw both offensively and defensively, with limited basketball experience. However, his size and athleticism make him an intriguing prospect. He had an impressive camp, consistently battling for rebounds and showing great effort on the court. Although his offensive game is still developing, particularly in his back-to-the-basket moves, his physical attributes and determination make him a player with significant potential.
