In a thrilling debut at the 2025 AfroBasket Qualifiers, Egypt showcased their dominance on the court, clinching a resounding 76-61 victory against Central African Republic. The Pharaohs, playing in front of their fervent home fans, delivered an electrifying performance that left their opponents grappling for a response.
The leader on the court for Egypt was none other than Annas Mahmoud, whose remarkable display included 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 crucial denials. Patrick Gardner and Yusuf Shehata each contributed 12 points, while Karim Elgizawy added 11 points to the winning cause.
From the opening tip-off, Egypt asserted their authority, establishing a commanding 14-point lead by the end of the first quarter with a score of 29-15.
