Stade Malien relied heavily on Mamadou Coulibaly and Ibrahima Djambo, who delivered standout performances with 25 and 18 points, respectively. Their ability to drive and execute under pressure kept Stade’s momentum alive, fending off Chaux Sports’ efforts to close the gap.
Tametong brought Chaux within a mere two points, rallying his team with crucial baskets in pivotal moments. However, a lack of effective rebounding, box-outs, and defensive discipline ultimately hampered Chaux Sports’ chances, leaving them unable to tie or overtake Stade's lead.
Chaux Sports, the Zone 4 champions, put up a spirited fight in a roller-coaster battle, displaying resilience and drive. But in the end, it was Stade Malien’s consistent execution and detailed offensive strategy that sealed the game, highlighting the importance of maintaining composure and control over defensive fundamentals.
With this win, Stade Malien takes another stride forward in the tournament, proving they’re a team with the firepower and focus to make a significant impact on the path to BAL 2025.
