The last encounter between the two teams took place on April 20th, 2024, during game day 2, where Cairo's Sporting emerged victorious in a hard-fought battle that extended into the final quarter. Towards the end of the clash, Libyan-based Al Ahly Ly players were drained as the game progressed due to a lack of substitutions.
