Gabon

After two months of intensive preparation with Moanda Basket-Ball, the technical staff of the Gabon National Basketball Team has finalised a list of pre-selected players set to join the team's training camp, starting on Monday, 11th November 2024. This regrouping phase will last for 10 days. During the camp, the coaching team will assess each player's performance and readiness to select the final 12 players travelling to Dakar.

Cameroon

Seini Amadou, Cameroon's talented U18 center, has been called up to the Cameroon Men's National Basketball Team following an impressive performance at the FIBA Africa U18 Championship. Playing with skill and maturity beyond his years, Amadou helped lead Cameroon to a silver medal in Pretoria, South Africa, while earning a spot in the tournament's prestigious All-Star Five.

Amadou, who currently suits up for the renowned Varese Academy in Italy, has been steadily developing his game on Italian courts. Known for his athleticism, shot-blocking, rebounding ability, and presence in the paint, he's rapidly becoming one of Africa's most promising young big men. His call-up reflects his recent achievements and Cameroon's commitment to nurturing young talent for the national team.

Alfred Aboya, head coach of the Cameroon Men's National Team, was notably impressed by Amadou's performance in Pretoria. Recognising his potential to impact the senior team's future, Aboya made the strategic decision to integrate the young center into the national squad. This call-up marks an exciting chapter in Amadou's career and is expected to be an invaluable opportunity for him to learn and grow alongside more seasoned players.

With his youth, raw talent, and development in Italy's LBA (Lega Basket Serie A) training, Amadou is poised to become a key player in Cameroon's basketball ambitions. Fans and analysts will be watching closely to see how this rising star adapts to the senior level and what he will bring to Cameroon's campaign in the upcoming tournament.
