This week's FIBA Africa Zone 1 Review takes us to Morocco where the championship will resume on October 12, with excitement gaining grounds with a duel between Club African and US Monastir in the offing.

The Tunisian national championship resumed at the weekend of 21 September 2024.
But the fans will have to wait until the next matchday for the eagerly awaited clash between US Monastir and Club Africain. Both teams kicked off their campaign on a high with US Monastir knocking off JS Manazeh with an 89-61 victory, while Club Africain crushed ES Goulette 106-44. This promises to be a good start to the next round on Saturday, when US Monastir and Club Africain go head-to-head.
Tunisian international Houda Hamrouni has a new base. She has signed for Ittihad Jeddah, in the Saudi Arabian Pro League, for the coming season. Hamrouni took part in three editions of the Women's AfroBasket (2017,2019, 2021) with the Tunisian national team. She has also played for Club Omnisports de Meknès and Espoir sportif du Cap Bon, among others.
Basketball players will be back on the court in October. The calendar for the Excellence Division championship, which has now been unveiled, announces the start of play on October 12. FUS Rabat endowed with a constellation of stars including Abdelhakim Zouita, are the defending champions and will be looking to retain their title.
