Chaux Sports of DR Congo clinched a hard-fought win over Kadji Sports Academy, overcoming intense pressure to secure a top spot and advance to the Elite 16, led by Etienne Tametong and Rotardier’s combined 35 points.

In a thrilling showdown at the Road to BAL Zone 4 qualifiers, Chaux Sports of DR Congo secured a dramatic victory over host Kadji Sports Academy in what proved to be a hard-fought, defensive battle for the top spot. From the tip-off, Chaux Sports established an assertive tone, surging to a 14-point lead early on. Yet Kadji Sports Academy, unshaken by the deficit, rallied with fierce intensity, setting the stage for an electrifying, back-and-forth struggle between these Central African powerhouses.
Kadji’s trio, Lele Jr, Obasa, and Nzeulie, combined for a commendable 38 points, with each player stepping up when it mattered most. Lele Jr scored 15, while Obasa and Nzeulie contributed 12 and 11 points respectively. Despite their efforts, Kadji’s offensive and defensive plays fell short against the well-coordinated efforts of Chaux Sports.
Leading the charge for Chaux, Etienne Tametong and Rotardier were relentless, racking up 17 and 18 points respectively. Their synergy and timing during crucial moments ultimately tipped the scales in Chaux Sports’ favour. Tametong’s defensive abilities, combined with Rotardier’s versatile playmaking, created a balanced attack that kept Kadji’s defence scrambling.
In the end, Chaux Sports’ resilience, tactical execution, and collective strength enabled them to clinch the win and secure their position at the top of the qualifiers advancing to the Elite 16.
