Chad: Elective General Assembly

On the 27th of January 2024 Bani Gata Ngoulou was re-elected President of the Chad Basketball Federation for a 4-year term. This was at the end of the Elective General Assembly which took place on January 27, 2024. Out of 28 votes, the outgoing President obtained all the votes. It was a ‘’YES’’ for all and no election since the outgoing President was the only candidate.

Cameroon: Elite Men and Women's Championship

In Cameroon, the second phase of the National Elite Men and Women’s Championship, spanning the third and fourth days of play, is scheduled from January 10th to 12th, 2024, concurrently in Yaoundé and Douala. Teams will face opponents from their respective regions. In Yaoundé, amidst the vibrant youth week celebrations, four teams will clash between 6 pm and 8 pm local time.

As they await these upcoming days, FAP Basketball anticipates the arrival of three foreign players — two from Guinea and one from Gabon — to bolster their roster. This move comes after their failure to qualify for the fourth season of the Basketball Africa League in Yaoundé.
