After the ladies earlier in the month of December, it was time for the men's teams to entered for the 2023 - 2024 Youzou Elite Basketball season last weekend with 2 matches on the program.
Espoir Basketball showed their superiority against GSBC ELITE in a score of 59-83 in favour of Espoir Basketball. Owendo 7.0's Ambourouet and his foals dominated CAS Le Phœnix 90 - 79 in day 1 of the Youzou Elite Basketball.
16 players have been chosen for the AFROBASKET 2025 qualifiers by National coach, Wilfried Dongo.
These players will participate in the training camp as a prelude to the preliminary round of Afrobasket 2025. He is expected to choose the final candidate in a few weeks, who will proceed to the preliminary round of Afrobasket 2025 from Zone 4.
The Secretary General of the Cameroon Basketball Federation has announced the postponing of the start of the National Elite Men & Women's Championship initially slated for the 13th and 14th of January 2024 to an ulterior date. Hence, a meeting will be held on these dates to talk things over with the head of clubs to get set for the new season.
Kadji Sports Academy makes a significant addition to their roster by signing Former Espoir de Gabon Forward Warene Moundounga and FAP's Cedric Tsangue for the 2023-2024 basketball season in Cameroon.
The two times scoring champion of Cameroon and BAL semi-finalist Cedric Tsangue spoke exclusively to Africabaket.
I would say that my departure to Kadji Sports Academy was caused by a desire for change. I needed to work in a new project, a new environment with new people. Also, the situation within FAP no longer suited me, among other things.
