Following three monumental seasons, the Basketball AfricaLeague has announced its official dates for its upcoming fourth season. Twelve premier club teams from 12 African countries will feature in the expanded league competition to play a record 48 games across four African nations.
The regular season games will be split between three conferences starting on March 9th in the newly-created South African-based Kalahari Conference. The Nile Conference will tip off on April 19th in Cairo,Egypt, and the Sahara Conference will start on May 4th in Senegal.Each conference comprises four teams that will play 12 group games, during which each team will face the other three teams in its conference twice.
The first and second-place-seeded teams from each conference, including the top two third-place teams from across the three conferences, will play seeding games in Kigali, Rwanda. An eight-game single-elimination Playoff and Finals from May 24th will follow these.
