Mali Basketball Star Guard Djeneba N'Diaye Leaves Glasgow Gladiators

Mali's basketball maestro, Djeneba N'Diaye has left Women's British Basketball League outfit, the Caledonia Gladiators. The move comes shortly after the Scottish-based team's unfortunate exit from the FIBA EuroCup, where they were knocked out in the first round of the playoffs, by Hungarian titans, NKA Universitas Pecs.

Although making her debut amongst some of European basketball's elite players and teams, the Mali national team player put up respectable numbers, averaging 9.4 points and three rebounds per game, during her time in the tournament. N'Diaye's standout performance happened against Portuguese powerhouse SL Benfica, where she scored 19 points and secured two rebounds in a resounding and historic home victory [Watch highlights of this game below].

In the domestic Women's British Basketball League, N'Diaye averaged 14.8 points, and led the team with 4.5 assists and 2.7 steals. The Malian point gawd's best showing occurred against the Sheffield Hatters, torching the historic club with 24 points, six assists, seven steals, via highly impressive 77.8%/75%/87.5 shooting splits.
