The playoffs tipped off on August 1st at the Salle Salimatou Maïga, with two game. In the men's league, AS Police and Stade Malien battled it out, while Stade de Bamako and Djoliba played off for the women's title.
A best-of-five series decided The Malian Championship, concluding on Monday, August 5th. Stade Malien clinched both the men's and women's titles with identical 3-1 series victories, overpowering their rivals—Djoliba in the women's competition—to secure their respective championships again.
AS Ville de Dakar, the dominant force in top-tier Senegalese women's basketball, has swept every major title this season. On August 3, they secured yet another accolade, triumphing over Jeanne d'Arc with a score of 61-41 in the Senegal Cup final, held at the Stade Marius Ndiaye. Earlier, at the end of July, AS Ville de Dakar clinched their fifth consecutive national championship, overcoming DUC with a decisive 74-42 victory.
The Senegalese Basketball Federation has unveiled the list of 19 players who will defend Senegal's chances at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Pre-Qualifying Tournament in Rwanda in just under 15 days' time. The list includes two local players, including their star point guard, Cierra Dillard and the SBFF-designated queen of the 2023-24season, Madjiguene Sene.
