City Oilers launched into the game with vigour, establishing a 13-7 lead midway through the first quarter and ultimately clinching the initial segment 23-21. The second quarter witnessed a tight battle, with both teams trading blows, but City Oilers maintained a slim three-point lead at halftime (38-35), marking the first significant gap in the game.
However, the tide turned in the third quarter, with Al Ahly seizing control and surging ahead to a 64-56 lead. The home team effectively utilized their deep bench, contributing significantly and amassing 30 points. Despite trailing 61-68 with seven minutes left, City Oilers refused to capitulate.
